Yesterday, I didn't think I would receive a lot of birthday greetings, especially from people I haven't heard from in a while. I know Facebook played a huge role, for Facebook is the resource for our friends' birthdays.
Anyway, I'm really grateful for all of the birthday greetings I received yesterday, for the folks who stopped by to celebrate my early birthday on Saturday night/early Sunday morning, and for having dinner with my family at Shari's last night.
Last year, I reached a low point in my life in which I really began to doubt myself. I've told some of my friends about my situation last year, and I was happy to know that I was able to confide in them to reveal such a shocking secret of mine.
Just receiving all of those birthday messages from the folks I love made me realize that I've got some awesome friends and a loving family. Because of your support, I've been inspired to work towards becoming a graphic designer, started producing hip-hop beats for fun, and simply living the good life in general.
Lastly, I want to thank the Lord for blessing me with my family and friends, and for showing me that there's always hope.
