Reach out and touch someone.

In Sunday's mass, the Gospel reading was Mark 1: 40-45.  This was the story of a leper who asked Jesus to heal him of his leprosy.  Jesus touched the man and healed his leprosy, but he told the man not to tell anyone about that miracle.  The man then proceeded to tell everyone that Jesus healed him, so Jesus had to hide, for he knew that many people would flock to him for help.

In Father John's homily, he spoke about what it meant to be a "leper."  He explained that "leprosy" is now an actual medical disease; however, he explained that back in Jesus' time, if a person had one single blemish on his/her skin, then that person would be considered a leper.  As I listened to Father John's homily, I realized that I would be considered a leper thanks to my eczema.  If that happened, that would absolutely suck, for people will see me as an outcast, and I won't be able to get in contact with my family and friends.  Father John told us that it was important for us to reach out and touch our loved ones.

I am glad I live in a time where people don't treat me as an outcast; I enjoy giving out hugs to ladies and high-fives to men...I can't imagine what my life would be like if I couldn't touch anyone.

In other news, it is two days before the NBA's trade deadline...and two days before I turn 26.  I'm still young.

Repeat: One

You ever have that moment when you're listening to a song and you play it on "repeat"?

Janet Jackson's song "Rock With U" is that song for me right now.

I'm not a huge fan of Jermaine Dupri-produced tracks, but I'm digging that electronic beat.  It seems that many hip-hop and R&B songs these days have some "technologic" in them.

Totally Random Thought

I tried to post a link to my photo and design blog on Facebook, but apparently my blog's URL has questionable content according to Facebook users.
